Fair Oak Farm is located in the heart of the “Arabian Neighborhood” in beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, California. The focus of our breeding program is our straight Egyptian foundation mare, Morsada (*Asadd+++ ex Morgana by *Morafic) and emphasizes her tail female line of *Bint Maisa El Saghira crossed into the *El Shaklan and Padrons Psyche sire lines. The females from this cross are bred back to stallions featuring various intensities of *Estopa in their pedigree as well as straight Egyptian stallions. We strive to create a classic and exotic look in our horses, with overall balance and freedom of motion topped off with a beautiful head, expressive eyes and a people-friendly disposition.
We are exceptionally pleased with Al Amir Shahmaan, our 2005 Om El Shahmaan colt out of Asdiqa Badeia [*Sanadik El Shaklan ex Morsada] please see his photos and a video clip on our sales list page; with three crosses to the immortal *Estopa, he is truly a classic example of the “Golden” Spanish-Egyptian cross. Edina Monsoon FOA also produced an exotic Om El Shahmaan colt in 2006—new photos coming soon-- and a show-stopping gorgeous bay filly by BB Thee Renegade in 2007, who is EBC-eligible to show at the 2008 Egyptian Event. In addition, Morsada produced a beautiful grey straight Egyptian filly in 2007 sired bySilver Maple Farm’s beautiful Ali Saroukh. It was a bit of a May-December romance, but everything worked out beautifully--many thanks to Henry & Christy Metz as well as the wonderful staff at Silver Maple Farm for working with us on this project. In fact, foaling season was filled with drama this year—please visit our “News” page to catch up on all the details.
Fair Oak continues to be competitive in the performance horse divisions, as well. Nancy & Magniffique won several nice titles at Scottsdale & Pacific Slopes this season & are now gearing up for Albuquerque in the ½ Arab Country Pleasure & Show Hack Amateur divisions.
Fair Oak Farm offers boarding, lay-up and turn-out services on a selective basis, please contact us for space availability and rates. We always welcome an opportunity to share and show our horses, do give us a call if you plan on visiting Santa Ynez Valley.
